What's included
Two sets of all four Drops® (8 pcs total), two of each weight: 40g / 60g / 120g / 200g. Great for larger drum kits, as well as keeping an extra set at the studio. Try using the smaller weights (40g / 60g) on rack toms 8"-12". Try the larger weights (120g / 200g) on floor toms 13"-18". For snare drums, all weights provide great options. Tip: try doubling up heavier weights on floor toms, and doubling up lighter weights on the snare.
About
Drops® are a new way to enhance drum tone without gels or adhesives. Using only gravity, Drops reduce sustain with an active gate effect that lets the drum's natural tone come through upon impact. Use Drops on snares, rack toms and floor toms. Mix and match different weights to get your drum tone just right. Drops attach to any standard tension rod by a molded silicon tab. Just push on the thumbprint to attach, and pull up to remove. Designed by Tandem Drums in California. (Patents pending)

Just bought a second set so I have more options to get the sound I’m looking for especially when I’m playing in small low ceiling venues. They do the job.
Drops make a huge difference. The village idiots even says that they are simply attracted and gives a boner-riffic sound. I put them on all of my heads so every hit is lacking the annoying resilience. Think I will have to check out their "Towel" just because.
The concept is good, simple and effective. Interestingly many comments I read seemed to suggest they didn’t “dampen “ enough. I would say just the opposite. I found the 40 and 60 grams most useful. The 120 was good for my FT, I really felt the 200g was like putting your wallet on the drum, it takes up a lot of room, so for me that’s the least useful. I intend to pick up some more 40g and 60g drops and double up. Overall, very happy with them.
I'm a band leader who also runs sound/records and that was my reason for purchasing the Drops. They've already come in handy on 2 gigs so I'd say they are worthwhile to have -- even if you're not a drummer -- if you are running sound. Solves some easy issues.
These are great!
