The Weight

T-towels work as advertised. The fold-up magnetic catch is fast and easy to use. So convenient that I leave the T-towles attached o my rack tom, snare, and floor tom and unfold them as needed. Drum tone is terrific! Gotta add that I had a question and the personal service was fast and friendly. The Tandem team knows drums.

Definitely different

If your looking for something less than the total tone deadening of moongel these are a viable alternative . Far more initial tone with gradiated resonance dampening. I like them.

Love ‘em!!

T-towels are great! Love the fabric. I play vintage Gretsch drums that have amazing tone, the towels do not sacrifice that great Gretsch sound and a perfect for the intimate settings I play occasionally. Beautiful sound cuts right through!

Great for 12” and below!

Perfect dampener for most situations, just removing the extra hum without making the drum sound dead. It keeps your toms and snare lively while removing the extra sustain and overtone.
I have used mine on a 12” snare, 8”, 10”, and 12” toms, and found them best in that range. The perfect companion for the Tama Club Jam kit!

Awesome Towels

The towels are awesome in the studio for the acoustic drum kit that I have set up. I like the fact that you can roll these up a little bit or have them cover the entire drum, which gives these a lot of versatility. Highly recommend these as well as the drops!!!!

60g and 200g

Six piece new DW set sounded amazing with stock skins; except floor tom, not even close; 200g pod not only fixed it but makes it sound perfect, no resonance at all! Put a 60g on the nickel plated DW brass snare to another perfect tight punchy sharp sound. Always wondered if I could get the perfect sounding set, I got it with just 2 pods! (Bass drum has the 2-piece DW pillow). 5 out of 5 stars 👌

Compatibility

The T-towels mounting system is currently NOT compatible with the following:

  • Wood hoops
  • Vintage oversized (round slotted) tension rods found on some Sonor kits

We hope to support these in the future ✌️
