The 3-piece combo is the most popular. This comes with two 16" T-towels and one 12", and is the ideal setup for a 4-piece kit, covering the snare, rack tom, and floor tom:

For snare drums

The 16" T-towels are ideal for standard 14" snare drums:

You can also use 12" T-towels on any snare drum. While they are ideal for smaller shells under 12", they also work beautifully on a standard 14" snare if you prefer a more compact fit:

For toms

Use 12" T-towels on rack toms 8"-12":

Compatibility

T-towels use the Drops mounting system which is currently not compatible with most wood hoops, or those oversized slotted tension rod heads found on some vintage Sonor kits. Make sure your kit uses standard square-head tension rods (the kind you tune with a standard drum key).
