Didn't want to leave a review until I'd actually used them out. I love them! Originally bought the asstd pack (plus one as a gift). Ended up buying an extra smaller one.
Simple , effective. Great tool to have.
This is a great idea and product, and I expect this product will continue to evolve with more improvements. To be clear, it works as advertised, however there are flaws with just how well it allows the drum to breathe while secondarily gating the overing. It just does not function like gels or other traditional muffling do in terms of full time sound attenuation. I purchased this knowing this, hoping it would be an improvement to gaffer tape, gels, etc, given the aforementioned anticipated performance properties (HIT DRUM>RELEASE>GATE), but in practice, it allows much more overing that was expected.
The other piece worth noting is that these are not intended for wood hooped drums, which my kit is, so that was a huge bummer for me. I'd like to see a future version incorporate deeper (seating) depths for the pad, and I have to wonder if doing so (via a deeper armature for example) would actually improve upon the issue I previously noted here, seeing as doing so would likely introduce increased tension against the head, thereby lessening the bounce from the drum hit, and gating it faster.
Overall, really like the appearance and less mess, lots of room for improvements (new colors, weights, sizes, branding, customization, but I think the key value of this product is in the armature that attaches to the rod that holds it In place. You can otherwise make your own, so I do hope they consider addressing that part of the design and how it can improve the overall performance.

They are fantastic, they work just as advertised. Not too muffled, not too much sustain. Highly recommend them.
