What's included
Four sets of all four Drops® (16 pcs total), four of each weight: 40g / 60g / 120g / 200g. Great for touring artists, schools, and studios. Try using the smaller weights (40g / 60g) on rack toms 8"-12". Try the larger weights (120g / 200g) on floor toms 13"-18". For snare drums, all weights provide great options. Tip: try doubling up heavier weights on floor toms, and doubling up lighter weights on the snare.
About
Drops® are a new way to enhance drum tone without gels or adhesives. Using only gravity, Drops reduce sustain with an active gate effect that lets the drum's natural tone come through upon impact. Use Drops on snares, rack toms and floor toms. Mix and match different weights to get your drum tone just right. Drops attach to any standard tension rod by a molded silicon tab. Just push on the thumbprint to attach, and pull up to remove. Designed by Tandem Drums in California. Winner of the 2026 Red Dot Award: Product Design. (Patents pending)

The drops are well thought out and well designed . I really loke the larger drops for the snare drum . No more adjusting the wallet constantly . And the 120 gram very effective on the floor tom . Gets rid of most of the boomyness . The 40 gram is not quite enough damping on my wing tom
OK, you asked for a review so here it is, over my 65 years of playing the drums. I’ve had everything taped pushed and prodded on my skin to try to give me just the right sound that I’ve wanted.. most of the stuff that I put on my skins like gorilla tape with weights under them and things like that probably most drummers have used over the years.
These drops were a great idea. They worked great. They do exactly what the company says. They’ll do but what I have found that I’ve had to use multiple weights on different drums. An example would be on my floor Tom’s. I’ve had to eat with two of their heaviest weights on each time to get just the right sound for me. I think they’re a little expensive, but if you can afford it, I think they’re worth the time and the effort.
These are fantastic way better than rezo rings on the head. They improve sound of drum and vibrate on head rather than dampen. Love them....
